NYC

  • It’s never too early to get in the giving spirit! With the Holiday season just around the corner, have some fun and get walking with Meals-on-Heels. On Saturday, November 12th, get together some friends and deliver meals to the homebound!
  • Test your decorating skills and help the local homeless! Our friends at Jericho Project are hosting their 1st Annual Day of Action on in early December. Join others and decorate Jericho’s housing residences for the holiday season, put together care packages and bring in the holidays the right way. Sign up here by November 16th!
  • This Sunday, November 6th is the annual It’s my Park Fall Clean-Up. Join friends at Corlears Hook Park on the Lower East Side any time between 11am–3pm and get planting!

SF

  • A Techie in San Francisco? No way! Connect with the Shanti Project to help isolated seniors with basic technology support that can truly enhance their lives! Email volunteerservices@shanti.org to learn more.
  • Friday Nights are meant for partying! Help an awesome organization and have fun doing it. On November 18th, Livable City, the organizers of Sunday Streets are throwing a fundraising party from 6–9pm. They’re looking for volunteers in exchange for 2 free tickets.   • The 10-day Bay Area Science Festival is coming to an end and they need your help! On the festivals last day, this Saturday, November 5th, volunteer at AT&T Park to help wrap up the event. Learn more here!

  • Family Literacy Fun Day brings together families this Saturday, November 5th, at City Hall. Parents & kids can take part in a lot of fun and engaging literacy-based activities. They are looking for individuals to help run the event — run booths, serve lunch, facepaint and more! Sign up here.
  • One Brick Boston, an awesome organization that makes volunteering easy (disclosure: a source for this newsletter) is hosting a social at Flat Top Johnny’s on November 10th @ 6:30–9:30pm.
